Challenge
Finding a suitable Document Management System (DMS), Spühl GmbH commissioned IseoLabs AG to conduct a detailed requirements analysis to clarify the necessary performance features.
The main focus was on digitization and automation of the invoice receipt process as well as integration into the ERP system "Epicor iScala" established throughout the company group. Drawing on 20 years+ of industry experience, IseoLabs AG also took over the market research for the best fitting DMS solution and the vendor selection assessment.

In the first phase, IseoLabs AG analyzed the existing IT infrastructure and the available interfaces to the ERP system "Epicor iScala" in close cooperation with Erwin Baumann, IT Manager of Spühl GmbH.
Together with Ms. Tanja Rudnicki, Head of Financial Accounting, the specifics of the invoice verification process and its international requirements were recorded.
DMS vendor selection & solution scope change
Based on the elaborated requirements of Spühl GmbH, IseoLabs AG provided a solution specification and pre-selection of potential and suitable vendors for the target DMS solution and implementation. Swiss-based companies should be preferred to grant optimal support during the implementation and for the upcoming extension steps.
Originally, the DMS evaluation was only planned for Spühl GmbH in Switzerland. After a quite successful solution presentation in front of the financial managers of the subsidiaries of the Leggett & Platt (L&P) Group, the scope was extended to Europe without further ado.
Thanks to the far-sighted tactical consulting approach of IseoLabs AG, the requirements were quickly extended to the larger European scope of the Leggett & Platt Group and continued in English.

The system will be used by 200 internal users of Leggett & Platt for Document Management and Processing and Archiving integrated into Epicor iScala.
